05 June 2024 > Hack Healthcare: Secondary Use of Healthcare Data

SAVE DATA takes part in Hack Belgium Labs' workshop that sets challenges for the upcoming Hack Healthcare. The goal of Secondary Use of Healthcare Data is to improve access to clinical and non-clinical healthcare data for research, policy and reimbursement.

Hack Belgium Labs is holding four workshops ahead of Hack Healthcare in October. The workshops prepare participants at Hack Healthcare to brainstorm several specified challenges.

During workshop three, Secondary Use of Healthcare Data and Real-World Evidence, SAVE DATA will present digital tools (like imec's PTRA) that make personalized medicine possible - and the two key barriers preventing the wide-scale deployment of such tools:

  • Insufficient population-level data
  • Low quality of available data

With a focus on women's health, we will discuss how we can collect enough quality hashtagdata to make hashtagpersonalized medicine work by tapping into specific groups - like women in hashtagmenopause - who are the most likely to share their data in exchange for preventive health insights and decision-making support.

The free workshop is online on 5 June from 9.30-12.00. Register here.
